Satnam Purewal is a privacy and cybersecurity expert with over 10 years of experience, based in Seattle, WA. Her passion for security and privacy began with a Computers and Society class while pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia.
She has held roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, Liberty Mutual, and is currently with Costco IT. Throughout her career, Satnam has worked across North America implementing security for PeopleSoft Financials and HR systems, and evaluating IT controls for clients across diverse industries.
Satnam holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) certifications.
She has served on the Board of Directors for (ISC)² and currently serves on the Board of the Puget Sound chapter of ISACA.
In addition to her professional roles, Satnam has published numerous articles and presented at security conferences across North America.
